Warner Pacific College History

Warner Pacific College originally opened in 1937 in Spokane, Washington where it remained until 1940 when church leaders moved this Christian college to its present location in Portland, Oregon. In 1959, the school changed its name to Warner Pacific College to reflect a growing emphasis on the liberal arts and later became fully accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Throughout its history, Warner Pacific College has developed advanced general studies programs aimed at integrating a Christian framework into a comprehensive continuing education curriculum.
