Bachelor's Degrees at Warner Pacific College
The Warner Pacific College bachelor's degree program requires four years of full-time study to complete the coursework and graduate with the accredited distinction. Adult students enrolled in the bachelor's degree program choose an area of study in which they will earn their degree, and are additionally required to complete general studies that supplement their continuing education. Adult students earning their Warner Pacific College bachelor's degree may graduate and excel in their careers or move on to earn their master's degree at the Oregon college.
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
Degree Description The Business Administration program balances theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on experiences. Warner's business graduates have gone on to careers in accounting, marketing and management, as well as various graduate programs. Upon completion of this program, graduates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and competencies: 1. Students will communicate effectively in a variety of interpersonal and organizational settings. 2. Students will demonstrate an understanding of ways that individuals and groups influence organizational behavior. 3. Students will understand and demonstrate management theories and principles. 4. Students will understand and apply human resource planning, personnel selection, motivation, and evaluation instruments to organizations. 5. Students will understand and have analyzed decision-making resources in managing organizations. 6. Students will develop an understanding of the research process, which allows them to integrate, synthesize and apply knowledge. 7. Students will understand and appreciate the significance of self-esteem. 8. Students will develop skills and understand the process of assessing, evaluating and making decisions about the operational and financial management of business and organizations. 9. Students can communicate an understanding of ethics in a world view context and are able to employ ethical decision-making in organizations. 10. Bachelor of Science in Human Development
Degree Description Studies in this program provide a background in human development. Students are prepared for a variety of vocational opportunities in human services and church ministry as well as studies in graduate programs within the social sciences. This program can be designed to fit the particular goals of the student. Upon completion of this program, graduates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and competencies: 1. Students will demonstrate awareness of the basic concepts, theories, models, and vocabulary necessary to understand the field of human development. 2. Students will give expression to a historical view of the field of human development and the current status related to that history. 3. Students will be able to critically evaluate research in human development, integrating the following: the scientific method, various research designs, and the construction of researchable questions. 4. Students will experience hands-on learning and contextual networking in human development. 5. Students will identify the major issues of the field of human development and observe how these influence both self and others. 6. Students will analyze differences between structures and practices of various world views as they relate to human development. 7. Students will comprehend and explore the implications of ethical challenges for students of human development. 8. Students will synthesize concepts learned into a holistic view of persons and their interacting systems.
